Challenges for gender equality in universities
On 12 September 2023, Consortium Meeting was held at the Tomas Bata University in Zlin on the equality and inclusion plans of the partner institutions.
With a view to sharing, each partner (Universidade do Algarve, Portugal; Universidad de Huelva, Spain; University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I” from Timisoara, Romania; LAB University of Applied Sciences, Finland; Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society, Germany; Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic) presented the equality and inclusion plans of their respective institutions. Secondly, the associated partners also had the opportunity to share their plans. The University of the Algarve team then shared the progress report on the inclusion and equality plans of the partner institutions and associated partners, based on the information collected through an online survey (gender Equality plans categories; actions to promote inclusion and gender Equality; key actions; perceptions of work-family conflict and (in)equalities).
The main seminar, entitled Challenges for gender equality in universities, was organised by invited speakers: Professor Joanna Ostrouch Kamińska and Professor Katarzyna Ćwirynkało (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland) and Professor Cristina Vieira (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, Portugal). This seminar aimed to promote the sharing of good practices, as well as to encourage reflection on the challenges.
